A Great Need For Quality Child Care
As a resident of Fort Wayne, IN for many years and having raised my own family here, I have recognized the ever increasing need for good 'quality child care.' Seeing many young mothers change from one facility to another trying to find care that is close to what 'they' give their children. I can remember a time experiencing those same concerns with my own children. Child care today is costly and individuals want to know that they are getting quality child care.
I recall how particular I was with the care of my own children and felt that I could give the level of care that parents are searching for. Identifying that I had both the time (being retired) and space to provide a good service to others with the personal experience of being the mother of nine of my own (all grown now). I have worked with church ministry youth groups, children & youth vacation bible school, summer children & youth programs and assisting in the care of my own grand and great grandchildren. As I considered all of these things along with my genuine love for children, I opened the doors of Mary's TLC Child Care in September 2000.

Having worked with children for over 30 years, I have seen parents especially young parents come with their children and though they're on their way to the job, they take time be see that their child feels secure with the provider. Parents want to know they don't have to worry about the care their child is going to receive when they leave them.
A child care provider should be a continued extention of the love and care they are already receiving. This is what we give along with our special touch of 'TLC!' Our home-like facility gives a feeling and sense of being at home, a warm and secure environment. We attempt to make Mary's TLC a place where children will enjoy coming to.

'It's All About...the Children'
We treat each child as an individual, because each child is different. Each one expresses him or herself in a certain way and we help them to show us who they are. We allow each child to develop at their own pace as we promote their self-esteem, independence, self-control and socialization with others. We help develop their creativity with our variety of reading materials, music listening to and participating in playing instruments.
Each child is made to feel welcomed, loved and accepted just as they are by others.
